New Jack City

From "New Jack City", The Drug dealer Nino Brown (Wesley Snipes) giving a statement before the verdict during his trial, at the end of the movie.

"I'm not guilty, Your the one whose guilty. Lawmakers, the politicians, the columbian drug lords; all you who lobby against making drugs legal, just like you did with alcohol during the prohibition. Your the one whose guilty, I mean come on, lets kick the ballistics here, Ain't no uzi's made in Harlem, not one of us in here owns a poppy field. This thing is bigger than Nino Brown, This is Big Business"

I think about this statement and it fuckin pisses me off, black people are pumped cocaine, heroin and marijuana into their communities by big business, and the white elitists and they turn a blind eye, like those drugs and weapons magically appear, and it further demonizes minorities to the average caucasian person.

The black person in the ghetto doesnt own resources to coordinate global drug operations, nor tankers, nor setting up the coke farms in central america, nor corporations to syphon the money through.

The latin (Columbians, Peruvians, Nicaraguans etc) people who work these farms don't buy cocaine, it costs too much and they only farm what they can sell for pennies a day. The same with the Afghans selling heroin.

These rich, white people using government and corporate resources are flooding the impoverished regions in America with this poison and the poor people are playing right into it, every time.

Im pissed because minorities are playing right into the sterotypes that they fight to escape, and i believe partly because NO ONE IS TEACHING MINORITIES HOW TO ESCAPE POVERTY, NO ONE IS EDUCATING THE POOR, THE SICK AND THE HUNGRY. NO ONE GIVES A FUCK ABOUT BLACK PEOPLE, AND BLACK PEOPLE IN THE GHETTO CERTAINLY DONT GIVE A FUCK ABOUT THEMSELVES. ITS JUST A CONTINOUS CYCLE RUNNING THROUGHOUT AMERICA, THAT PAINS ME TO SEE.

I'm using "white people" exclusively because they are ones who own these corporations and industries and who fight to keep their fellow men in power. I also feel like they are the loudest, and first to say to poor people, "If they can just get an education and just pull themselves up from their bootstraps then they can make something of themselves"

Well, these detached people are the ones who judge minorities and garner their own superiority over them. Poverty is a double edged sword, IF YOU DONT HAVE MONEY TO BECOME EDUCATED HOW CAN YOU BETTER YOUR SITUATION?, AND LASTLY, WHO IS TEACHING THE POOR TO BETTER THEMSELVES? WHITE AMERICA? NO, THEY SHOW BLACK ATHLETES, ENTERTAINERS AND CRIMINALS TO SOCIETY AND THE LIE BLACK PEOPLE TELL THEMSELVES IS THAT THESE ARE THE ONLY WAYS TO BECOME SUCCESSFUL IN AMERICA, AND SADLY ITS BECAUSE IT IS THE ONLY WAY BLACKS ARE SEEN AS SUCCESSFUL IN AMERICA AS WELL. ITS SICK AND ITS DISGUSTING.

and anyone who talks shit, and says that none of this is true, then those are the people who grew up middle to upper class, white, conservative and/or ignorant to the societal suffering around them,

I urge you, and plead with you to see life from a different point of view and not just associate the world, and equate that with reality based on the people around you with the same income levels and gated communities.
