Reflections: A Soul For Searching

well

Its been a while but I'm back for a minute. Ive been thinking lately that when we talk to a person one-on-one, its like having six people in the room. Because its who we are, who we wish to be, and who we try to percieve ourselves to be, and that is true for the other person.

With people we always want to be seen as someone or something else to a degree. An archetype. Why is that? I think that people need to understand that there is something about each other that we pick up on, certain qualities or vibes, it essentially helps us to determine how to act/react to another person. Its instinctual in us.

We as adults are so fake sometimes, we front and put up personas to keep our true selves safe Because we are afraid of others seeing who we really are. Is that because we truly dont know or because we are ashamed of our lives and issues? Why should we conceal ourselves?

We all have ideas about how a person should be, and its so easy to get caught up in those because when dealing with adults, you are essentially dealing with perception, and a willingness for the person to look and sound well-balanced.

Being an adult is so different from being a child, because one always wants to feel respected and valued as a person, and taken seriously. You see this when instructing adults, they have their values and ideas and are immediately turned off when others shun or discourage what they have to say, there is a great lesson there.

That as we age, we tend to want to be seen as equal and credible, that no one wants to be inferior to anyone else. We should teach this to our children, we should teach ourselves to listen and respect to our children, we should make it our duty to understand their situation, their issues and their personality.

We dont need to treat children as adults, but simply acknowledge that they exist, and thats all that people want anyway.

The goal for all of humanity is understanding, respect and compassion. Relating to people is often what we strive for in everything we do. In our loves, our jobs and our families.

The world full of people is becoming a right-brained world because technology is rendering the left-brained side not as fundamental to our growth as a society.
